Over the past 12 years, Theo Crous's production work with top SA bands and musicians like the Springbok Nude Girls, No Friends of Harry, Mafikizolo, Malaika, Karen Zoid and Chris Chameleon has earned him the reputation as one of South-Africa's most sought-after and respected musicians and producers, consistently delivering work of international standards.
He has worked with top international producers such as Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, HIM, Black Crowes and Silverchair) on Springbok Nude Girls and Wayne Hussey (The Mission) on the No Friends of Harry best of collection.
Theo has produced 25 albums - singles from all these albums have reached the top ten on various national charts, 5 of which have been nominated for SAMA's, 3 of which have won SAMA's.
His production career began from a wish to record a demo for the Springbok Nude Girls, and so at the age of 21 he produced Neaderthal1. The single �Bubblegum on my boots� reached number 1 in the 5FM Modern Rock charts. On the strength of this album the rock group, Lithium approached Theo and requested that he produce their album.
In addition to his production career, Theo is a prolific musician who has vast experience and knowledge of the local music industry. He is a member of Afrikaans alternative duo, KOBUS! and rock group Springbok Nude Girls.
